Thomas Schwenke, eigentlich Rechtsanwalt, hat mit sheepworld.de ein interaktive Community auf Basis von BuddyPress & WordPress MU aufgesetzt und beschreibt in einem Artikel auch wieso sich BuddyPress gegen Joomla, Typo3 und Drupal durchgesetzt hat.

Da mittlerweile das Sicherheitsrelease WordPress MU 2.8.5.2 erschienen ist, haben wir auch unser Combo-Paket, dass WPMU enthält, auf den neusten Stand gebracht. Eine Aktualisierung von WordPress MU wird dringend empfohlen.

Andy Peatling, Hauptentwickler von BuddyPress, hat mit der Veröffentlichung der Komponente “Status Updates” die Entwicklung von BuddyPress 1.1 begonnen. Die Entwicklerversion ist über das “BuddyPress-Trac” erhältlich. Laut Roadmap soll BuddyPress 1.1 am 17. August erscheinen.
